Commemorating our 90th Anniversary

Stop by our Watertown North Hwy 81 location and you will be greeted by a little boy and his dog. This statue "the Check Up" is to commemorate our 90th anniversary.

David W. Johnson, CEO, appreciates art of all kinds, especially originals. This was purchased at Sculpture Walk, which is a Sioux Falls annual art appreciation project where they bring sculptures and other forms of visual art to Phillips Ave to be on display for about 10 months. Dave decided that "Check Up" would have broad appeal to bank customers such as parents & grandparents, pet lovers, professionals like medical doctors and veterinarians, and just about anyone who appreciates a simple Norman Rockwell illustration.

We feel this statue represents to customers, how we as a community bank are here for all clients financial "check ups" now and for future generations.

Reliabank Makes Donation

During the month of October, if you stopped at any of our bank locations, you probably noticed the small orange pumpkins hanging around. Our front line staff sold these pumpkins as part of a fundraiser for the Cystic Fibrosis Organization. Thank you to all who participated and donated to this great cause. Today we are sending off a check for $406 to CF!

We have the best customers and the best staff!
Great job!

Be Aware of Phishing Attempts

There has recently been a new phishing scheme targeting Internet Banking customers. Phishing is the criminally fraudulent process of attempting to acquire sensitive information such as usernames, passwords and credit card details by masquerading as a trustworthy business in an electronic communication. Phishing is typically carried out by e-mail or instant messaging, and it often directs users to enter details at a fake website whose look and feel are almost identical to the legitimate one.

The best plan of action is to be extra-cautious when online. If you are ever contacted about an account needing to be "verified" (or any other topic used by phishers), it is a sensible precaution to contact the company from which the e-mail apparently originates to check that the e-mail is legitimate. Alternatively, the address that you know is the company's genuine website can be typed into the address bar of the browser, rather than trusting any hyperlinks in the suspected phishing message.

Please keep in mind that Reliabank (including our Internet Banking system) will NEVER ask you to enter personal or account information during the login process or for any Internet Banking pages where the information requested is not relevant to the transaction. Customers should not enter sensitive data if they are prompted to do so. Also, always make sure when using Internet Banking that your anti-virus and anti-malware are installed and the software definitions are kept up-to-date.
